Junior mixed teams - FAQs
The Junior Mixed Program allows boys and girls to play cricket matches together in a fun, inclusive, and supportive team environment.
The program is open to children across multiple junior age groups, from under 10s through to under 16s, from 8 to 16 years old.
No prior experience is required. The program welcomes beginners and experienced players, with coaching tailored to different skill levels.
The junior cricket season typically runs from October through March, including training sessions during the week and matches on weekends.
Most teams train once per week, with matches played on weekends during the season.
Trainings:
U10s – Mondays (4:30-5:30)
U12s – Thursdays (4:30-6:00)
U14s – Wednesdays (4:00-5:30)
U16s – Tuesdays (4:30-6:00)
Matches:
U10s – Sundays (8:30-10:30)
U12s – Saturdays (8:30-11:00)
U14s – Fridays (5:00-8:00)
U16s – Fridays (5:00-8:00)
Sessions are held at Macleay Park, North Balwyn. Away matches are played against other local clubs within our competition.

Yes. The Junior Mixed Program is fully inclusive and provides a welcoming environment for all players.
Younger players may have access to shared club equipment. As players progress, they will need their own bat, pads, gloves, helmet, and box.

Parents are encouraged to help as team managers, scorers, or volunteers. No prior cricket experience is required—support and training are provided.
