Veterans

North Balwyn CC competes in the Eastern Cricket Association (ECA) Veterans Competition with an Over 40s and Over 50s team. Typically, we play on synthetic pitches and occasionally on turf and games are held every second Sunday, throughout the season.

The Vets competition is a wonderful way for lovers of cricket to stay involved in the game, continue to practice their skills, contribute to their club and enjoy the very social environment of afternoon teas and traditional post-game barbeques.

Games are played in a serious manner befitting the “spirit of the game” with all players doing their best when required but otherwise having fun and enjoying the company of team mates and opponents. Players “walk” when they are out and acknowledge opponents on-field achievements.
