Women’s programs
The North Balwyn Cricket Club women’s program is a fun, inclusive environment where players of all skill levels are welcome. Whether you’re brand new to cricket or have years of experience, we cater for all women and girls aged 13 and up. Our focus is on enjoying the game, building confidence, and developing skills in a supportive and friendly club culture.
We’re proud to field a Division 1 women’s team in the NMCA competition on Sunday mornings for experienced cricketers looking for a high standard of play, as well as a social women’s team competing in the ECA social competition on Sunday afternoons. Training runs on Wednesday evenings from 6:00–7:30pm, and it’s super low-key and welcoming. Come down to McLeay Park, have a hit, meet the team, and give it a try!
The Willows are our Deaf and Hard Of Hearing women, made up of players from the Melbourne Deaf Cricket Club who joined North Balwyn Cricket Club in a collaborative partnership during the 2024–2025 season. This partnership has been incredibly rewarding, with Willows players featuring across both our women’s social team and Division 1 side, strengthening our program on and off the field and reinforcing our commitment to inclusion and opportunity for all.
We are extremely proud of the Willows, who have recently represented the state of Victoria at the National Inclusion Championships in Perth. Their passion, skill, and love of the game are inspiring, and we feel privileged to have them playing alongside us, sharing their experiences, and contributing so positively to our club culture. Their presence enriches our community and highlights the power of cricket to bring people together.
